Resources, Part 2
Let’s look at the Telescope resources. As you can see, things haven’t changed much on the Telescopes tab, apart from the addition of a Computerised Mount setting.
A blog for discussing all things AstroPlanner-related

Let’s look at the Telescope resources. As you can see, things haven’t changed much on the Telescopes tab, apart from the addition of a Computerised Mount setting.
Let’s see what’s new in Resources. There are now two new types of resources. Let’s look at those in this posting. Firstly we have Observer resources.
Here’s an interesting extension to an existing feature: custom highlighting.
Here’s a picture of the plan document as it appears when opened. Look familiar?
Much of the operation of features in V2 will seem the same or similar to V1. This is deliberate. AstroPlanner V2 is more of an evolutionary step from V1 than a completely new or different (revolutionary?) product.
As of today, AP V2.0 is largely feature complete. It has plenty of bugs and things that don’t quite work right, but I have not been concentrating on fixing them until I have most of the development stuff finished. Here’s a list of things still to do:
I am setting up this blog with the primary goal of revealing, in stages, Version 2.0 of AstroPlanner. I’ll be showing off the new and changed features, and I hope you will comment on these features so that I know I’m on on the right path. I might also use this blog as a venue to blow off steam on occasion, as I seem to be doing a fair amount of that around here lately (I might appear as Mr Nice Guy to users, but everybody has their alter ego lurking in the background). Â
As I have never blogged before, please be gentle with me as I figure out this newfangled software.
Please note that any information about unreleased versions of AstroPlanner mentioned here should not be considered to be binding in any way, unless it is specifically stated to be so.
