I might deviate into complaining about the development environment, the horrors of ASCOM and other Windows delights, and how I’m getting screwed over by various vendors.Â

The iOS-related posts will be about my first baby steps into mobile computing. As yet I have not developed a commercial application for the iOS platform, and the intellectual cost of doing so is immense, and changes every week (or so it feels). I hope to document my triumphs and frustrations as I complete and post my first iOS app to the App Store, and my disappointment as only three people download it.

As a side note, I have switched off comments for this blog. It’s not that I don’t care what you feel about my postings. On the contrary: I would love to hear from you. It’s just that I found myself killing way too much spam. There seem to be millions of jerks out there whose only aim is to make a few bucks irritating the rest of us. If you have something to say, feel free to contact me via e-mail (no, I don’t do Twitter, FaceBook or Google+.
