Not anything to do with AstroPlanner, and not likely to make me any money as I have signed away rights to my then employer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/patft.uspto.gov\/netahtml\/PTO\/srchnum.htm\">US Patent Office Search<\/a>: type in 7590068.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThis patent is pretty esoteric and describes part of a protocol for mobile wireless mesh networking. The full protocol is described over three patents, two of which are still awaiting approval (or rejection). The other two are even more arcane. I&#8217;m amazed that this patent was accepted, and my hat goes off to the patent examiner for wading through the morass.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not even sure the company I was employed at still exists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After more than 5 years, my first patent has been awarded.
